My areas of expertise are: Working with Military Veterans and their families, individuals, couples, and families in areas such as: Anxiety, Depression, Transition, Parenting, Relationship building, and Stress Management. I have presented on topics such as: Bullying, How to Prevent Burnout, Continuing Family Traditions During the Holidays, Supporting Children with Mental Health Challenges in School, and others. In addition to teaching master’s level students in Counseling Programs, I also work with professionals who are completing hours toward full licensure status, and I am a member of several professional organizations: AAMFT, SAAMFT (on the board), APT, and TCA.
I believe in a collaborative working relationship with every person who is ready to build on their strengths to C-Beyond the
challenges life brings through Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Brief Therapy, Play in Therapy (usually for use with children and families with children in counseling), and Mindfulness/Meditation. Each person is carefully evaluated and treatment planning is individually established.
